Hank Vernon Cox, 65 year of age, passed away on January 30, 2023, at his residence in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born on October 9, 1957 to Adron Cox and Vivian June Parsons Cox. Hank attended Laurel County High School and was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. While at the University of Kentucky he studied computer science and mathematics.

He worked for leading tech companies ACNielsen, Austin-Haynes, and Oracle. He retired from Oracle in 2014 after working there for 17 years. To keep himself busy and bring in extra income he was working for Domino's Pizza Tiverton Way, Lexington, Kentucky. Hank always took great pride in doing a job well and earning his pay.

Hank was preceded in death by his parents Adron Cox and Vivian Cox and by several dear and close Uncles and Aunts and Cousins.

Hank is survived by his Brother John Cox (Sherry) and Sister Joyce Konitzer (Kenneth) both of London, Kentucky. He is also survived by several nieces, Pamela Sue Looney (Jeremy), Rondecca Kam, Melinda Sue Brock, Virginia L Couch, and Jennifer Couch Williams, and several nephews, Ricky James Brock, Chance Xavier Konitzer (Melissa), Chet Couch, and John Couch. He is also survived by many friends and other relatives who will mourn his passing.

Hank had many interest and adventures in his life. He played Little League Baseball and basketball while at middle and high school student. He was an avid reader and especially liked Roman History and Roman literature. The Roman Emperors fascinated him. He hiked many of the major national parks and many of the state parks. Often hiking and camping at the same time. One of his best liked hikes was the one of hiking into and out of the Grand Canyon in July. He was also a motorcycle rider and rode several cross country trips in the last few years of his life. He was planning another major trip for the coming summer. And to top all that off, Hank became a certified scuba diver while working in Florida.

His funeral service will be at Bowling Funeral Home in London, Kentucky on Friday, February 3, 2023. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with the memorial service immediately following. Officiating will be Steve House and Trevor Brummett.

Burial will follow at the Balkan Cemetery in Bell County. There will be no grave side service.

In place of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the University Of Kentucky general scholarship fund as Hank was both a graduate of and fan of the University.
