Dorothy Jean Smith Callahan,
76, of the Huntsville Manor Nursing Home and formerly of Oneida, died early Saturday morning, November 18, 1995, at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida. She was born in Scott County on February 1, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Alvin Smith and the late Margaret Burchfield Smith. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Evans; her second husband, Charlie Callahan; one son, Harry James Wilder; and three sisters: Luella Hurt, Elsie Herman and Cordelia Wilder. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by one son, John Wilder of Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters: Linda Wright of Mesa, Ariz., and Angie Cravens of Cincinnati, Ohio; three brothers: Levi Smith and wife, Naomi, of Oneida; Arvil Smith and wife, Helen, of Oneida; and Clyde Smith and wife, Verna, also of Oneida; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the West-Murley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Smith-Forbis Cemetery in Oneida. West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
