Civil Rights Activist. Served as Head of the Black Panther Party from 1967 to 1969. In 1969 he left the United States for a self-imposed exile in Guinea, Africa, changing his name to Kwame Ture. He died on Prostate Cancer in 1998 in Guinea, and was buried in the capital city of Conakry.
