She lived most of her life in Savannah, with the latter part of her life in Hinesville. She retired from Bank of America after 40 years, and was a member of Savannah Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jasper Anderson. Surviving are her husband, Robert E Meddings; two sons, Edwin R Anderson and Michael P Anderson; stepson, Daryle Meddings; six grandchildren, Jason Anderson, Michael H Anderson, Ashley Brabham, Justin Meddings, Carson Meddings, and Destiney Anderson; brother, Jimmy Rigdon; and sister, Linda Givens.
