Daughter of Kasper (sometimes spelled Casper) & Christine (Schmitz) Theisen. Married Charles Schueth, Jr. on September 13, 1870 in St. Anthony's Church, St. Charles, Cuming County, Nebraska.

Humphrey Democrat, November 1919:

"A long and useful life ended in the sleep of death when Mr. Chas. Schueth passed away at her home in the south part of town at 7 o’clock last Wednesday, November fifth. She was one of the pioneer ladies of this community coming here in 1889. The cause of her demise was heart failure.

She was a quiet genteel lady whose heart interests centered in her home and family. In the early days she was generous with her strength, time and means in helpfulness to those about her and during her life she enjoyed the esteem and friendship of her neighbors and all with whom she came in contact.

From her life’s history we glean the fact that she was born May the thirteenth, 1852, at Cologne, Rhine Province, Germany, her maiden name having been Agnes Theisen. In the year 1857 she immigrated to America and came to Nebraska to make her home. On the thirteenth day of September, 1870, she was united in marriage to Chas. Schueth at St. Charles, Cuming County, Nebraska, Rev. Father Ewing officiating at that ceremony. After her marriage she and her husband settled on a homestead eight miles north of Scribner, Nebraska. In 1879 the family moved to Cuming County where they resided until 1889, when they came to Platte County and lived on a farm three miles east of Humphrey. In 1898 Mr. and Mrs. Schueth gave up farm life and came to Humphrey to spend their declining years.

Her death is deeply mourned by her husband, five sons and five daughters, who are: Chas. Of Cedar Rapids, Casper of Winner, South Dakota, Mrs. C. H. Muff of Clearwater, Mrs. J. J. Gentleman of Albion, Mary and Gus Schueth of Omaha, and Henry, Albert, Margaret and Eleanor at home. The husband and children were all at her bedside when she passed to the Great Beyond.

This morning at 9 o’clock all that was mortal of this kindly lady who has tarried the last thirty years of her life among us was laid to rest in the St. Francis Cemetery, after the services in the St. Francis Church at which Rev. Father Andrew officiated. The funeral arrangements were all made by the Christian Mother’s Society of which the deceased was a member.

We join with many friends of the family in extending heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved ones."
