Services for Cleo Smith, 59, of 1440 Arthur ave., will be at 1:30 P.M. Thursday at Hamilton's funeral home, with burial in Laurel Hill cemetery.
Mr. smith suffered a heart attack Monday morning while walking from his home to the bus stop at E. fourteenth street and Arthur ave.He was en route to work at the Des Moines Union Railway Co. where he had been a clerk 33 years.
Born in Missouri, Mr. Smith came to Des Moines from Harvey 38 years ago. He was a member of the Brotherhood of America Railway Employees, Moose lodge and Union Park Christian church
Surviving are his widow, Leona; two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Harker and Betty Anne Smith, both of Des Moines; two brothers, Hersel J. of Des Moines, and Lloyd of Marshalltown, and two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Hall of Des Moines and Mrs. Sulah Meyers of Harvey.
Cleo Smith married Leona L. Lewis on July 2,1927 in Bethany, Missouri.
