Booth, Elizabeth Mathews, - 98, peacefully passed away at Somers Place, EHT, on December 11, 2020. Born and raised in Pomona, NJ, she was the beloved daughter of Armenia S. and Harold Booth. Betty attended Egg Harbor City High School, class of 1940. She proudly graduated from Rutgers Cooper Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. Her dedication and care at Cooper for 35 years was recognized by colleagues and long-long friends. She enjoyed being an active member of the Cooper Alumnae Organization. Betty was a faithful member of St. John's Church in Egg Harbor City, Union Protestant Church in Pomona and Haddonfield Methodist Church. Betty was known for her loyal service and Christian friendship to many over the years. Betty loved to travel throughout the US, Europe and Holy Lands. She often visited UK to see cousins with her sister, Emma. Her retirement brought her back to Pomona farm and she continued the family tradition in Cologne Grange. Betty is predeceased by her sisters, Emma and Clara; and her brothers, Charles and Harold. She is lovingly missed by nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews, who brought her much joy and laughter in her later life. A memorial service at St. John's Church, Egg Harbor City will be announced at a later date. Parsels Funeral Home, Absecon is handling arrangements.
