Politician. Stanislaw Araszkiewicz served as a member of the Polish Parliament from 1930 to 1935. During World War II, he also was the director of the Department of Public Works and Reconstruction and served as chairman of the National Council for Reconstruction of the Government Delegation for Poland. He joined the United People's Party after the war and was a member of its Supreme Committee from 1959 to 1973. From 1957 to 1967, Araszkiewicz was the undersecretary of state in the Ministry of Construction and Building Materials Industry. Among his honors were the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, the Partisan Cross, the Order of the Banner of Labor, and the Order of the Grunwald Cross.
