Mrs. Armstrong died June 6 in Tyler.
She was born Sept. 16, 1903, in Henderson County to the late Robert and Nevie Tarrant January. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from East Texas Teacher's College in Commerce, was a retired school teacher after 47 years service in Henderson County and was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her husband Ira Armstrong, brothers, Davis January and Derous January and sisters Anna Mae January and Elsie Warren.
Survivors include niece, Nelda Pannell, Tyler.
