Politician. Baranowski served in parliament as a deputy of the second term of the Sejm of the Second Polish Republic from March 4, 1928 to Aug. 30, 1930. He joined the Polish Socialist Party in the early 1910s but fled to the United States fearing persecution. After working in the U.S.'s National Defense Committee, he moved back to Poland and was imprisoned. By the late 1910s, he joined the People's Militia and then fought in the Polish-Bolshevik War. By the 1920s, Baranowski worked with trade unions for agricultural, municipal, and public utility workers, serving as chairman of the Trade Union of Agricultural Workers of the Republic of Poland from 1920 to 1921. During the German occupation of Poland in the late 1930s and early 1940s, he worked with the Polish Socialist Party.
