Olympic Medalist. She was a discus thrower who represented Romania at the 1972 Olympics in Munich, West Germany, where she won the silver medal. She also competed at the 1974 European Championships winning the silver, and the 1973 and 1975 FISU World University Games, again coming in 3rd and bringing home a silver from each of these games. After retiring from competition she coached at club Dinamo București in Bucharest.
