Phillip G. Van Deuren, 81, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday March 1, 2023, in the Waynesboro Hospital. Born December 17, 1941 in New Holstein, WI, he was the son of the late Harry P. and Catherine (Meyer) Van Deuren.
Phillip graduated from Beloit Catholic High School in Beloit with the Class of 1960. Immediately following his graduation, Phillip moved to Waynesboro, PA where he started an apprenticeship with Landis Tool Company. After the apprenticeship he return to Beloit to work at their parent company Landis/Gardner Tool. Years later a job offer brought him and his family back to PA. He worked in the manufacturing industry for the rest of his career, rising to be the manager of what would become D.L. George and Sons Manufacturing. He retired while working in the Landis Complex, making his career at Landis come full circle. He and his wife of over nineteen years, Mrs. Linda M (McCleaf) Van Deuren, were married November 28, 2003 in Beloit, WI.
Mr. Van Deuren loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved the outdoors, spending every chance had hunting, golfing, fishing, or traveling.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Catherine Anderson of Mercersburg, PA, Jackie Martin (John) of Fayetteville, PA, Sonja Picking (Christopher) of Chambersburg, PA, Anthony Van Deuren of Chambersburg, PA; step-children: Robert L. Moore (Angie) of Hagerstown, Cheryl L. Stymiest (Nate) of Waynesboro; 18 Grandchildren; 15 Great-Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Van Deuren and six sisters.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 18, 2023 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street, Waynesboro with Alan Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
