Politician and economist. Bobrowski served as the president of the Polish Central Planning Office from 1945 to 1948 and was a member of parliament in the Legislative Sejm from 1947 to 1948. He graduated from the University of Warsaw law school in 1925 and worked as a legal clerk at the General Consulate in Prague and then at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Poland until 1929. He became a director at the Sowpoltorg trading company and then in the economic department at the Ministry of Agriculture and Agricultural Reforms. Bobrowski joined the Polish Army in 1940 and was placed in an internment camp in Switzerland. After escaping, he worked to help Polish refugees and developed plans for the country's reconstruction after the war's end. After serving in the Sejm, he became a professor at the University of Warsaw and vice-chairman of the Economic Council at the Council of Ministers from 1957 to 1963. Bobrowski was a United Nations expert in the 1970s for the developing countries of Algeria, Ghana, and Syria.
