Mieczysław Bodalski was a member of the State National Council and served in parliament as a member of the Legislative Sejm and the Sejm of the People's Republic of Poland of the first, third, and fourth terms from 1945 to 1969. Bodalski served in the People's Guard and the People's Army during World War II, reaching the rank of captain. A member of the Polish Workers' Party, he became a member State National Council in 1945. He led the Agricultural Department of the Warsaw Committee, served as the first secretary of the Provincial Committee in Białystok, and was the deputy head of the Agricultural Department of the Central Committee. He also was a member of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers' Party.
