Calvin "Lee" Mackey, 77, died March 6, 2023, at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, Buhler. He was born October 29, 1945, in Emporia, to Robert and Edith (Allen) Mackey.

Lee graduated from Stafford High School in 1963. He served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1969. Lee worked in the beef processing industry for 30 years before working as a salesman at Mackey & Sons. He enjoyed painting, remodeling, yard work, and landscaping.

On May 16, 1971, Lee married Vickie Ann Morton, in Hutchinson. They shared over 50 years together.

He is survived by: his wife, Vickie Mackey, Hutchinson; son, Derek Mackey, Hutchinson; daughter, Tracy Mackey, Hutchinson; brother, Ken Mackey, Saffordville; and grandson, Evan Mackey, Cimarron.

Lee was preceded in death by: his parents; son, Shawn Mackey; brother, Albert Mackey; and sisters, Mary Showalter, Barbara Crackel, Carol Repfogel, and Shirley Mackey.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023, at Eastside Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
