Judith A. "Judy" Remaker, 82, of Manitowoc passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Judy was born on December 13, 1940, daughter of the late William and Ethel (Naumann) Jagemann. She attended schools in Manitowoc, graduating in 1959 from Lincoln High School.

On November 21, 1959, she married Donald Remaker at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2021 after 61 years of marriage.

During the 70's, Judy was secretary for the Lakeshore Snowmobile Club; and she was a member of the Catholic Junior League, where she became president and then later went on to be state president. Judy was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. After her children were all in school, she went to training for becoming a Nurse's Aide. From 1974-1977 she worked as a Nurse's Aide at Holy Family Medical Center. In 1977, she started at Jagemann Stamping Company where she was the Payroll and Benefits Manager for 27 years until she retired in 2004. Judy enjoyed crocheting afghans for all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed working on puzzles, word search books, and being outside tending to her yard and flower beds. Judy loved animals, especially her grand-dogs and always enjoyed their visits. She was the family historian keeping the entire genealogy current. Not only did she track and update everything on the computer, she earned the nickname, "Rain-Mom" as she knew everyone's birthdays, anniversaries, and major life events from memory. Even after her children and grandchildren were all grown and married, everyone still received a birthday card every year. Every holiday and every birthday was a celebration with family including aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, friends, food, and cocktails. Everyone was always welcome and it's hard to say how many besides her children called her "Mom." She was so strong and independent and such a fighter. She treated everyone like family and there was nothing she wouldn't do for her family. There were so many laughs and good times throughout the years. Her laugh, her smile, and her kind loving caring heart will be truly missed and forever remembered.

Survivors include: Her five children: Todd (Candy) Remaker, Manitowoc; Shari (Ron) Stegmann, Two Rivers; Scott Remaker, Manitowoc; Tracy Remaker (Mike Reel), Mishicot; Tori (Gary) Zipperer, Manitowoc; eleven grandchildren: Krystal (Allen) Vandertie, Nik (Amber) Remaker, Nathan (Erin) Remaker, Kathryn Remaker, Evan Remaker, Max (Tami) Maigatter, Trudy (Andy) Duprey, Hannah Strauss (special friend Elliot Shaw), Jake (Lauren Preston) Zipperer, Carlie (Barry) Hartman, Caitie (Nick) Tomassucci; nine great grandchildren: Gavin & Ayden Remaker, Theo Remaker, Maxwell & Grant Maigatter, Cason & Rorik Hartman, Eugenie Tomassucci, and Hudson Duprey; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Nancy Jagemann, Barb and Earl Griffin, and Ron Pautz. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents: William and Ethel Jagemann; husband: Donald Remaker; parents-in-law: Raymond and Evelyn (Bergel) Remaker; brother and sister-in-law: Bill and Fran Jagemann; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Florence & Bruce Pelletier and Dorothy and Bill Dicke; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Jessie (June) Pautz, Maryann and Norman Mathiesen, Dorothy and Al Leischner, and Harold and June Remaker.
