Icie Lewis, colored, twelve year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Lewis, who reside three miles west of Warwick, passed away at Oklahoma City on November 30, after an eleven days illness caused from [a] ruptured appendix.
Funeral services were held December 3 from the A. M. E. church at Sweet Home, conducted by Rev. Wiley of Chandler, and burial was made in the Sweet Home cemetery."
In the 1930 US Census, Icie, age 11, born in Oklahoma, is living with her parents, Solomon and Nettie Lewis, in Otoe Township, Lincoln County, Oklahoma, in Section 33 of Township 15N, Range 3E.
