Refugio Alvarez (Salazar) "Cuco" passed away March 12, 2023, in San Antonio, TX with his family by his side. Mr. Alvarez was born July 4, 1972 in Mexico City, MX to Jesus Alvarez and Catalina Salazar.

Refugio was preceded in death by his father Jesus Alvarez and a brother, Rafael Alvarez. He is survived by his loving wife, Yesenia (Romero) Alvarez; two sons, Ivan and Christian Alvarez; one daughter, Ailin Alvarez, his mother, Catalina Salazar; two brothers, Miguel and Daniel, and three sisters, Maria, Guadalupe, and Isabel. Mr. Alvarez is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives and dear friends. "Cuco" had a wonderful sense of humor and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Blanco. A Rosary will be celebrated at 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 17, 2023, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 25 Main St., Blanco, TX 78606. Interment will follow in the Blanco Cemetery, Blanco, TX.
