When we came to Billings in 1913, my older brother Fred got a job with the Billings gazzette as a mailer.  They didn't have any news boys to sell papers, the people had to go to the Gazzette office and pick up a paper.  Fred heard people say they wondered why they didn't have someone peddle papers.  Fred thought it was a good opportunity for brothers Bill and John to make some money.  They were the first news boys in the city of Billings.  John said "we were run off by the Northern Pacific Railway employees at the depot because we would yell at the top of our lungs "Billings Gazzette", but we sold lots of papers
