Francis J. "Frank" Kobes, 79, 241 Twilight Dr., De Pere, died Monday, Dec. 21, 1992 at his home.
He was born Nov. 29, 1913 in Appleton to his late parents, Bart and Theresa (Blahnik) Kobes.
He married Catherine Van-den Hoogen on May 25, 1935 at St. Mary's Church, De Pere. She preceded him in death.
He then married Antoinette "Toni"(Cina) Giovineo on Sept. 3, 1947 in New Orleans.
He was a retired dairy farmer in the Town of Hobart and worked at the L.A. Edelbeck until his retirement. He was the beloved husband of Antoinette Cina "Toni" Kobes; two sons, Phil and Carol Giovingo, Bob and Janice Kobes, both of Green Bay; two daughters, Ruth and Richard VanRite, Pat and George VanDerLinden, both of De Pere; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six brothers, Tom Kobes, Green Bay. John and Adeline Kobes, Manitowoc, Joseph and Alice Kobes. George and .Verna Kobes, both of Denmark, James and Dorothy Kobes. Francis Creek, Ed Kobes and Gladys. Manitowoc; two sisters, Mary Erdmann, Ann Kriesa, both of .Green Bay; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in Wisconsin and Louisiana; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Francis Joseph Jr.; one grandson, Steve VanRite.
Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. 10th St., De Pere, after 4 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Bonifice Church until the time of the funeral. Funeral 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Charles Brooks officiating. Entombment in the Allouez Mausoleum.
