Mrs. Kathryn H. Gallagher, 1621 Monroe Avenue, Dunmore, died Sunday night in Mercy Hospital after an illness. She was the widow of Hugh Gallagher, who died in 1944. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Frank and Winifred Noone Wicker, she was a member of St. Pauls Church, its Altar and Rosary Society, and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Surviving were a son, Hugh, Arlington, Virginia; two daughters, Mrs. William Hopkins, with whom she resided, and Mrs. Richard Renga, Plainfield, New Jersey; two brothers, Francis Wicker, Scranton, and Paul, Syracuse, New York, two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Conniff, Washington, Mrs. Howard Hofsommer, Syracuse, New York; 14 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, including the Reverend Joseph Flannery, Mildred, PA.
Her funeral was from the Patrick J. Barrett Funeral Home, 1222 Marion Street, Dunmore, with Mass in St. Pauls Church.
Interment was in Cathedral Cemetery.
