Obituary for Harris Ludden
TORRINGTON, WYOMING...........Grave side services for HARRIS L. LUDDEN, 76, will be held at 2pm Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Valley View Cemetery with Pastor Fred Voltmer officiating. Harris died at his home on August 16, 2011. Visitation will be Thursday from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and friends may send condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com. Harris was born October 26, 1934 on a farm north of Morrill, Nebraska in Sioux County the sixth of eight children of Chauncey and Eunice (Harris) Ludden. While growing up he lived in Morrill and Henry Nebraska, and Torrington, Wyoming. In 1953 he moved to Lander, Wyoming and in October of 1975 he returned to Torrington to work at DSI. He worked in the recycling center. He liked to bowl and knew almost everyone in Goshen County and rarely forgot a name. He knew people's vehicles because he memorized license plate numbers. His favorite sibling was his brother Chris. Harris is survived by his special friend and companion Cindy Wagaman; three sisters Jacqueline Anderson of Henry, Nebraska, Patricia Croft of Copeland, Kansas, and Sharon Hocksprung of Warrensburg, Missouri; two brothers Harley Ludden and his wife Nancy of Shipshewana, Indiana, and Chris Ludden of Redfield, South Dakota; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters Tressa Arnold and Glenna Knopfle.
