Adolf Ludvig Brockenhuus-Schack was born at the families estate at Giesegaard Gods, Nordrupøster Sogn, Ringsted Herred, Sorø Danmark. He was Christened on 11 November 1854 and married Agnes Sophie Louise Emanuella Basse Fønss (1859-1918) and had three legitimate children by that marriage - one daughter and two sons. He was honoured with a knighthood in the Order of the Dannebrog by His Majesty King Christian IX of Danmark (1818-1906). He was also honoured with the title of Hofjægermester which is a Danish honourary court title awarded to a limited number of land owners by the Monarch. he died at Gram Castle on 07 Aug 1938. THere are memorial stones located at Gram Castle to the Adolf Brockenhuus-Schack and his wife.
