Loren W. George the youngest son, and his brother Robert, came back to Klamath County. In 1944 they sold the Josephine County ranch and bought a farm in the Henley area.

Loren W. "Pete" George, 93, Klamath Falls, died Sept. 6, 1997 in Klamath Falls.
He was born in Kerby, Oregon to Richard George and the former Alice McVey.
He graduated from Grants Pass HIgh School in 1921.
He was married to Hazel Wells Feb. 20, 1926 in Roseburg.
They owned and operated a ranch in Cave Junction until selling it and moving in 1944 to the Klamath Basin, where they purchased a ranch in the Henley area. When they retired in 1967, they sold the ranch.
Among his hobbies were stream fishing at Dairy Creek and Howard Prairie, woodworking, gardening, picking berries, and long walks in rural areas to find and collect bottles. He built the family home in Cave Junction. Mr. George was a member of the Klamath Masonic Lodge No. 77, Oddfellows, and Henley Grange.
Survivors include children; Jean and Garrett Hilyard, Carol and James E. Creswell all of Klamath Falls and Ruth and Dave Boyd of Dorena; and son and daughter-in-law Robert L. and Diane George, Klamath Falls; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandsons; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife on May 22, 1992, a grandson, Andy Creswell, a great-grandson, Nick Trainor, four brothers and one sister.
