ROGERS -- Gene Aerts, 80, of Rogers died March 7, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born Feb. 28, 1928, in Hart, Mich., to Edward Aerts and RoseMarie Christian Aerts.
He was a meat cutter for 34 years before retiring. He enjoyed yard work and volunteering. He moved to Rogers in 1990 from Aromas, Calif. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Rogers.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Marilyn Aerts of the home; three sons, Larry Aerts and wife Dianne of Rogers, Michael Aerts and wife Kathy of Rogers and Alan Aerts and wife Bonnie of Monte Sereno, Calif.; two brothers, Louis Aerts and Jack Aerts, both of Muskegon, Mich.; one sister, Betty Ana Zynda of Osprey, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church in Rogers with the Rev. Mark Ashcraft officiating. Burial will be in Benton County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
