Services for Betty Abel Walker will be held Tuesday, April 18,2023 2:00 PM graveside at Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS.
Mrs. Walker, age 81, died on Saturday, April 15,2023 at her residence in Philipp, MS.
She was born on October 28,1941 in Grenada, MS, to the late Robert Maxwell and Louella Sherman Abel. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Temperance Walker, three brothers, William Reeves, Bobby Able, and Charles Able, a sister, Bonnie Able, grandson, Maxwell Walker, and a granddaughter, Isabella Wilkerson. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Gore Springs, MS, a homemaker, and a business owner of Walkers Grocery in Philipp, MS.She was a resident of Philipp for over sixty years.
She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie "Cricket" (Emerson) Wilkerson of Tunica, MS. three sons, Stacy (Cheryl) Walker of Tupelo, MS, David Walker of Nashville, TN, and Terry Walker of Philipp, MS, and eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
A private visitation will be held on Tuesday April 18,2023 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville. Pallbearers will be Joseph Queen, Blake Carroll, Sam Abston, Jacob Walker, Dan Ferguson, and Craig Ferguson.
