Pearl F. Clark died on Dec. 15, 2005, in Vermont Respite House in Williston. Her death followed a courageous 11year battle with cancer. She was born in Charlotte on March 9, 1922, the daughter of the late William and Anna (Doner) Abare. She graduated from Vergennes High School. She was married in The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Burlington on May 1, 1947, to Roger W. Clark. He predeceased her on April 8, 1977. Pearl was formerly employed by St. Joseph's Home for 30 years. She was a very dedicated employee. Pearl was a very energetic and generous person with her enthusiasm and kindness touching all those who met her. Volunteering at the Vermont Association for the Blind for the past 10 years, she enjoyed walking, taking photos and working on puzzles. Pearl is survived by two daughters, Gloria J. DeVine and her husband, Jack of Ferrisburgh, Linda A. Langlois and her husband, Charles Munson of South Burlington; seven grandchildren, Lori DeVine, Lisa Spear, John Morrill and wife Kathy, Daniel Morrill and wife, Laura, Karen Morrill, Dawn Marie Langlois, Allison Langlois; 12 great-grandchildren, Katlin, Erica, Matthew, Ryan, Kayla, Danielle, Amanda, Chelsey, Brandon, Evan, Justin and Shawnae; one great-greatgrandchild, Khloe. She is also survived by three sisters, Helen Little of South Burlington, Connie Derby of New York, and Ruth Pierce and her husband, William of Las Vegas; two brothers, Roger Abare and his wife, Marion of South Burlington, Edward Abare and his wife, Lucy of North Ferrisburgh. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Caroline L. Clark in 1987; two brothers-inlaw, Alvin Little and John Derby. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, in St. John Vianney Church with interment following in Resurrection Park Cemetery, South Burlington. Visiting hours will be at the Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Home, 85 N. Winooski Ave. from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, Vt. 05495. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Drs. Claudia Ber-ger, Bruce Leavitt and James Wallace for their care of Pearl over the years, and a special thanks to Vermont Respite House for the care they gave to our Mom. Arrangements are by Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors.
