Dana Lee Allen, 66, of 1783 N. Mountain Street, Blacksb urg, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at his residence.
Born in Gaffney, S.C. he was the husband of the late Mary Pat Mizell Allen and son of the late Lawrence Lee Allen and Sara Huskey Allen.
He was a graduate of Blacksburg High School and Cleveland Technical College, was a retired police officer, and a member of Mount Paran Baptist Church.
Surviving is a son, David Lee Allen (Tasha Nicole) of Blacksburg; a daughter, Heather Allen Duncan (Joe) of Gaffney; seven grandchildren, Will Duncan, Jace Duncan, Jaylen Hames, Taylor Whitworth, Paisley Allen, Mackenzie Allen and Harper Allen; his companion, Lynn Pennington Diones of Blacksburg.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Blakely Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Frederick Memorial Gardens with Pastor Joey Shetley officiating.
