Chester Chandler, a resident of Midland City, died late Monday evening, April 24, 2023, in a Dothan hospital. He was 62.
Funeral 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 28, 2023, in the Sanctuary of Praise Church in Midland City.with Cody Chandler and Les Lee officiating.
Burial in Midland City Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday at the church.
Mr. Chandler, son of the late Mixon Chandler and Kathleen Bowman Chandler was a native and lifelong resident of Midland City. He was formerly employed in the well-drilling industry. In later years, he began to work on small engines and became known as the "lawnmower man".
Chester is preceded in death by his parents, Mixon and Kathleen Bowman Chandler a brother, Ronnie Chandler.
Chester is survived by one daughter, three sons, six sisters, two brothers, six grandchildren,
five great-grandchildren,
Serving as active pallbearers will be Donnie Chandler, Ronnie Chandler, Tyler Buchanan, Kevin Gustafson, Randy Whitehead, and Trevor Segura.
