Mrs. Earl Herron
Mrs. Edith Corrine Herron, 56, of New Cumberland RD 1, wife of Earl Herron, died Thursday morning at Ohio Valley Hospital, Steubenville, after a long illness. Her husband is the owner of the Herron Airport. She was born in Chester April 12, 1912, a daughter of the late Thomas Allison and Gertrude Martin Allison. She belonged to the Fairview Presbyterian Church in New Manchester. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Betty)Allison of Beaver Falls RD 1; two sons, William Herron of Marietta and Kenneth Herron, stationed with the Army in Pittsburgh; a sister, Mrs. Carl Allison of New Cumberland RD 1; two brothers, Gary Allison of Chester and Clyde Allison of Hookstown, and nine grandchildren. Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Turley Funeral Home in New Cumberland by the Rev. Richard Meyer. Burial will be in Flatts Cemetery, New Manchester. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.
