CURTIS, Clifton R. "Butch" - Of Montrose, age 67, died Friday, January 23, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11am Monday, January 26, 2009 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose, Rev. Robert Leming officiating. Burial at West Vienna Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 12-8pm. Clifton was born October 31, 1941 in Clio, Michigan to the late Irvin and Lucille (Sears) Curtis. He had resided in the Montrose area since 1965. Clifton married Mildred Fraser on August 20, 1960. He was self employed as a carpenter and roofer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and canning. Surviving are: wife, Millie; children, Clifton Jr. (Sandra) Curtis of Burt, Kevin Goldin of Montrose, Gary (Sandy) Curtis of Grand Rapids, Michelle (Greg) Henige of New Lothrop, Chris Curtis of Montrose and Jeff Curtis of Carson City; 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; 8 sisters, Florence McLain, Doris (Leo) Atchison of Montana, Marian Fredericks of Clio, Nancy (George) Powell of Montrose, Helen Gawne (Don Dorman) of Flint, Charlotte (Willis) Daniels of Flint, Linda (Fred) Sterns of Illinois; many nieces and nephews; very special friends, Lila Atwell and Bob Brittenham.
