Aaron Shenk Kreider, Jr., 72, a prominent retired shoe manufacturer, died this morning in St. Joseph's Hospital, Lancaster, of a cerebral hemorrhage, following several months of illness. He resided at 529 S. Market St,, Elizabethtown. For many years he was president and general manager of the A. S. Kreider shoe manufacturing company in Elizabethtown. A native of Lawn, he was a son of the late Aaron Shenk and Elizabeth Horst Kreider. His father was a former U.S. Congressman. He was graduated from Cornell University in 1912 and during World War One served as a chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the United Church of Christ, Elizabethtown; the University Club, Philadelphia, and Conewago Post 329, American Legion, Elizabethtown. He was a charter member of the Lebanon Country Club. Surviving are three children, Elizabeth, wife of John E. Copenhaver, and Charlotte, wife of W. A. Withers, both of Elizabethtown, and Leslie L. Kreider, Lancaster; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Clement H., Harrisburg, and Howard, Annville RD, and two sisters, Nancy, wife of Cyrus Eckert, Lebanon, and Mrs. Elizabeth Kenner, Chevy Chase, Md.
