OXFORD — The funeral for Deborah Phillips Shotwell, 44, of 9048 Aaron Creek Rd., who died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 at Granville Medical Center, was conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, in Amis Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Johnny Richards and the Rev. Gene Brooks. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Shotwell was a native of Halifax County, Va., the daughter of George and Verna Weaver Phillips of Oxford, who survive. Her late brother was Darrell W. Phillips.

She was employed with Oxford Dental Care and was a member of Amis Chapel Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, John Shotwell; a daughter, Sarah Shotwell of the home; a son, Darrell Shotwell of the home; a sister, Wilma Phillips Gillis of Roxboro; and a brother, Donnie Phillips of Roxboro.
