Mrs. Ole Loven (Ingeborg Engrav) of Decorah, passed away Saturday, Sep 7 at the Lutheran Hospital at LaCrosse, where she had gone to have a minor operation. Some 3 years ago she underwent a tumor operation & some time later another operation but they did not expect death to come so quickly. She had a weak heart for years.
She was born in Telemarken, Norway, in 1866, came to America with her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Halvor Engrav, when she was 2 years old. They settled in Allamakee county where her home was until in 1910 when on Dec 15 she was married to Ole Loven & her home was in Glenwood township. In 1937 they quit farming & came to Decorah. No children were born to them. Besides her husband she is survived by 1 sister, Mrs. Gilman Hanson of Minot, ND; 2 brothers, John Rushford & Ole Ole of Higland Prairie, also a niece, Mrs. Jule Moe (nee Edna Engrav) of Glenwood. 1 brother & 2 sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 o'clock from the First Lutheran Church with burial in the Glenwood cemetery beside her parents. Rev. TA Hoff officiating.
