Timothy Bowen, age 59 years, a native resident of Brown county, IL died at 9 a.m. Saturday at his home near Grace, Idaho from injuries he sustained when he fell from a hay stack. The remains are to be returned here for services and burial. Funeral rites will be at the Rounds Funeral Chapel in Mt. Sterling at 2 p.m. Sunday and burial in the Hersman cemetery.

The deceased was born in Brown County on May 3, 1894, a son of Charles Marion and Elizabeth Ellen Briggs Bowen.

He married Lois Ruth Hall December 25, 1912 in Mt Sterling, Brown Co. IL. She preceeded him in death on January 15,1936.

They had 10 children

Surviving is his present wife,Clara Wilson, whom he married in 1942, and the following children: Cecil, Clarence, Lyle, Donald, and James, all of Quincy, IL; a daughter Veda Hall of Mt. Sterling. Two sisters: Mrs. Myrtle Surratt of Denver, CO, and Mrs. Iva DeWitt of Mt. Sterling, also a half-brother, Sam Lawson of Beardstown and seven grandchildren.
