He gave of himself without question, listened without judgment and made us laugh when we needed it the most. This was his gift to the world, the gift of laughter.
On Monday he took his last breath, his last sigh and his last laugh. He passed away peacefully and very unexpectedly on the 17th of March, 2008. Although Physically he will no longer be with us, we do know that spiritually he will definately be with us forever. Many of us have a special memories of Axel, after all, he was also a performer in Chicago. He did the best performances.
Even though we got to know Axel in many different aspects, he chose what aspects of his life to share with his family. This says alot about him, but in all he never lost his integrity. Throughout it all, he remained true to himself and his identity.
He was waked at Alvarez funeral home on Cicero Avenue In Chicago on the 20th of March and all his friends from everywere came out to pay him their last respects. You will be missed, and one day my friend, we will rejoice the party again. Till than, rest in peace and know that we will never forget you. Wow, I can't believe your gone Axel!
