Major -- Sunday morning at 4:30 o'clock July 19 1953, at a local infirmary, Mrs. Vera Burnett Major, age 73. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Leta Crockett of Louisville, Ky.; sons, Fowler, Cecil and Clifton Major of this city and Herman Mayor of Franklin, Tenn; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. J. M. Goodwin of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; brothers, F. E. Burnett, Pasquo, Tenn, P. T. Burnett, Mt. Juliet, Tenn., H. T. Burnett of Weirsdale, Fla. Remains are at the parlors of John C. Roesch & Co., 2322 West End ave. Leaving the parlors Monday afternoon remains will be conveyed to the Pasquo Church of Christ to lie in state from 2:30 o'clock until 3 o'clock at which time funeral services will be conducted by John Allison. Tom Morris, Carroll Potts, Charlie Smith, Mike Petty, Frank Hutton, John York, Martin Herman, and E. L. Lemmonds will serve as pallbearers. Interment: Pasquo cemetery. John C. Roesch & Co., funeral directors.
