Mona (Francoeur) Robblee Rhone, of Hamden, passed away on May 21, 2023. Born in Salem, MA on July 10,1937, the third daughter of the late John T. and Blanche (Drouin) Francoeur. A Connecticut resident over 50 years, Mona raised two boys with her first husband, the late Frank Robblee, and was also predeceased by her second husband, Donald F. Rhone. She is survived by her sons Christopher Robblee of Blackfoot, ID and John (wife Alyson) Robblee of Stamford and Glencliff, NH; a sister Elaine (Joseph) Caron of Beverly, MA; granddaughter Sage Robblee; 2 nieces, Annette Pelletier and Diane Demakis, and 3 nephews, Larry, David, and Jimmy Caron. She also leaves behind several cherished friends, neighbors, and caregivers. She was predeceased by her sister Gloria Demakis. Prior to her retirement in 1999, Mona was employed by the Town of Hamden for 19 years. She was an avid genealogist and spent countless volunteer hours answering inquiries through the internet on Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness website. She posted thousands of memorials and pictures online at Find a Grave. Many families throughout the world located ancestors through her efforts.
