Mary Adams, 65, of 317 W. Grant St., succumbed at 4 a.m. today in St. Francis Hospital, Peoria. She had been in ill health the past month.

She was born December 23, 1906 in Streator, a daughter of Michael and Anna (Durdan) Jakupcak. She married Walter Adams on June 21, 1932 in St. Stephen's Church by the Rev. Louis Biskupski.

Surviving besides her husband are three daughters: Betty (William) Boyle of Ottawa, Shirley (William) Oldani of Elwood, and Patricia (Dennis) Mann of Streator; seven grandchildren; five brothers: Michael of Calumet City, Andrew, Jack and Stephen, all of Streator, and Joseph of Marseilles; and two sisters: Louise Jakupcak and Josephine (Victor) Bandura, both of this city.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister.

Residing in Streator all of her lifetime, she was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at Solon Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
