Ruth "Nanny" Aldrich, 92, of Bessemer, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 28, 2023. She was a long-time member of Shady Grove Baptist Church Lacey's Chapel. Ruth was a devout Christian woman who believed in the power of prayer. She loved her family and was greatly loved by them. She always saw the best in others. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elliott Aldrich, of 56 years. She is survived by her daughters: Darnell Bunn (Michael), and Theresa Burgess (Eddie); her son, Earl Aldrich; her grandchildren, Kimberly Bunn, Kelly Brister (Joe), and Jessica Rogers; her great grandchildren, Grace, Chloe, Emma and Jacob. Funeral Service will be Monday, June 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home with burial following at Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Pat Buckner will be officiating the service.
