2nd married Mrs. Joanna (Cole) Leary. They filed the intention of marriage in Littleton, MA, on Jan. 7, 1816. They then wed in Lincoln, MA, on Jan. 23, 1816.

"Foster, Rev. Edmund, Littleton; b. North Reading, 1752. At Concord and Lexington, April 19, 1775; Yale Coll., 1778; received degrees from Yale and Harvard; Tr., 1794 to 1809 [Trustee at Westford Academy]. Ordained at Littleton, 1781; Rep. and Sen. about 1812; Del. to Constitutional Convention, 1820; m. Phebe Lawrence, Lincoln; died in Littleton, 1826, in the 46th year of his ministry."
