Abraham died intestate, valued at nearly £2,000 in Personal Property and Homestead alone. The inscription is obviously from an earlier graveyard reading, since there's no sign that the stone is still there. Abraham Foster and Susannah Hartshorn were married on June 18, 1733.
The children listed in the court papers are Abraham (oldest son and heir), David, Edmund, Susanna, and Elizabeth.
When Abraham's father, Samuel, died in 1762, his Will stated that his estate would be split three ways: one part to son Jonathan, one part to son Benjamin, and one part to be split among his late son Abraham's children.
