Gouverneur, Jan 8 - James W. Venton, a well known North Gouverneur farmer, died at 3 this morning at his home on the lead mines farm, following a week's illness caused from pneumonia, aged 41 years. He was in excellent health and about town one day the forepart of last week.

Mr. Venton was born in the town of Macomb March 25, 1875, a son of Jacob and Sarah Venton and he had always followed farming in the section where he died, and he was well known and most highly respected.

Besides his widow he is survived by three youngs sons, Carrol W., Clyde Alvin and Stanley M; his parents and two brothers, William and George Venton, all of this town.

The funeral services will be conducted from the home of his parents at noon Saturday and burial will be made in the Babcock cemetery, near his farm home.
