His middle name was "Haring" in his obituary, but "Harding" in his World War II Young Men Draft Registration Card. On that card, his date of birth was reported as October 14, 1920, which agrees with census records, rather than the 1916 year of birth reported in his obituary.

Obituary
Mr. Lester Haring Clark, 58, a resident of Carroll County, died Saturday, June 7, in Berkeley, Calif., after an extended illness. Born Oct. 12, 1916, in Carroll County, he was a son of the late Jesse and Marie Milberry had served in the U.S. Navy for the past 21 years.

Surviving are six sisters, Mrs. Audrey Beard and Mrs. Edith Green, both of Westminster, Mrs. Beatrice Thompson, New Windsor, Mrs. Louise Davis, Helen Nokes, and Miss Thelma Clark, all of Union Bridge, three brothers, Clarence Clark, Westminster, George Marlo Clark, Union Bridge, Orville Clark, Baltimore, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Union Bridge Funeral Home of D.D. Hartzler on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday, June 16, at 12 noon by Rev. Charles Shepard, pastor of the New Windsor Church of God. Interment be in the Wesley Cemetery, Libertytown.
