Larry Bunk, 77, of Clearfield, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at his home following a brief illness with cancer.

Born on March 23, 1946 in Windber, he was the son of the late John Adam and Amelia Marie (Seintz) Bunk.

Larry was a 1964 graduate of Windber High School.

He served 11 years in the United States Navy, being active during Vietnam, and served another 11 years in the National Guard. He retired from Penelec after 31 years as a power station manager.

Larry attended West Side United Methodist Church and was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion, Eagles, Elks and Sons of Italy, all of Clearfield. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling and woodworking.

He made Clearfield his home for almost 50 years while building many friendships and touching many lives. He enjoyed helping others and telling funny stories. If you met him, you would understand why so many love him.

Larry is survived by a son, David Bunk of Memphis, Tenn.; brothers, Carl Bunk, Ron Bunk and his wife Carol, all of Windber; grandchildren, Andy Bunk, Jaron Bunk, Jules Bunk, Eric Fusco, Kevin Fusco, Micheal Ritter, Kira Ritter, Jeffrey Brown and a great-granddaughter, Elliana; as well as six great-grandchildren from his late wife Diane's daughter, Tammy Ritter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Bunk; and a sister, Nancy Deneen.

A memorial service will be held at the West Side United Methodist Church, 317 Nichols St., Clearfield, on Saturday July 1, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul A. Bowers officiating.

Friends will be received at the church an hour prior to service time.
