Alberta Holt April 8, 1932- March 26, 2008 COLUMBUS, GA— Mrs. Alberta Holt of 5322 Braeburn St., Columbus, passed on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital. She was 75 years old. Born in Macon, Georgia on April 8, 1932, Mrs. Holt was the daughter of the late Arthur and Della Norwood King. She was a homemaker and a member of Lindsey Creek Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors include: her loving and devoted husband of 49 years, SSG (Ret) Robert Holt, Sr of Columbus; five sons, Willie Holt and Richard Holt both of Columbus, Michael Holt (Willie Mae) of Lizella, GA, Robert Holt, II (Yolanda) of Columbus, OH, Paul (Fredricka) Holt of Japan; five daughters, Gwendolyn Reeves of Macon, GA, Barbara Senior, Della Brown (Robert , Jr.), Jacqueline Holt and Vonceil Holt Plump, all of Columbus; two brothers, Robert King (Dorothy) of Spring Lake, NC and Casey Grier of California; four sisters, Helen Ross of Macon, GA, Arthurlee Sanford of Pemberton, NJ, Louise Foster of Jamaica, NY and Annie King of Brooklyn, NY; 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Homecoming services for Mrs. Holt will be Monday, 2 PM, Graveside at Main Post Cemetery. Chaplain John German will officiate. Visitation is Sunday, 2 til 4 PM at the funeral home. The cortege will depart from the residence at 1:30 the day of the service. Arrangements entrusted to the staff of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc.
