Doris I. Davidson, 100, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Winfield Senior Living.

Born January 18, 1923, in Boone County, Iowa, she was the daughter of Rolla Elvyn and Inez Pearl (Hannum) Cundiff. Doris attended Madison schools in Madison, Kansas, graduating from Madison High School in 1941. After graduation, she worked for Horton's Laundry and later for Hallmark Card Factory in Emporia for two years. Doris returned to Madison and became a waitress at the Maple Grove Restaurant until beginning her career in the cafeteria at Truesdale Junior High, where she remained until retiring in 1982.

Doris met Kermit B. Snyder in 1945, they were married in June 1946 and moved to Wichita. Mr. Snyder preceded her in death in August 1989. She later met a former classmate, Edward C. Davidson, and they were married May 30, 1999 and moved to Winfield, Kansas where they became active members of Millington Street Baptist Church. Doris enjoyed flowers, reading, working crossword puzzles, and putting together jigsaw puzzles.

Her family includes her children, Ruth A. Knouf; Kenneth B. Snyder; Donald L. Snyder; her sister Shelly Crawford; her nine grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 18 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Doris was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas Cundiff, Dwayne Cundiff, Ralph Edgar Cundiff, Galen Cundiff, and three sisters, Mary Brothers, Lily Mae Cundiff, and Wilma Fern Cundiff.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Udall Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 P.M. The family will greet visitors from 4 to 6 that evening.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Doris' name to First Baptist Church of Burden Missionary Fund.
