MARY MARGARET (CUNDIFF) BROTHERS, 98, went to be with the Lord Thursday evening, September 5, 2013.

Mary was born August 2, 1915 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of Rolla Elvyn and Inez Pearl (Hannum) Cundiff. Her family moved to Iowa for a short time and then to Madison, Kansas where she received her education.

Mary was united in marriage to Marvin Earl Brothers on April 20, 1935 in Emporia, Kansas. To this union, five children were born. Marvin preceded her in death on August 20, 1990. Mary came to live with her daughter in Winfield in 1995.

She was a member of Millington Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed making quilts, crocheting and spending time with all of her family.

She is survived by: Her daughter, two sons and her two sisters, 19 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and Many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband of 55 years, Mary was preceded in death by two sons, Earl Eugene in 2002 and Willie David in 2009, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and three grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Millington Street Baptist Church. Interment will take place at Janesville Cemetery in Hamilton, Kansas Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. Friends may call at Miles Funeral Service on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. The family will greet visitors from 4 to 6 that evening.

A Memorial has been established in Mrs. Brothers' name for Millington Street Baptist Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
