Born in Monroe County,she was the daughter of the late William Clements and Zida Ellen(Burks)Rich, and the wife of the late Fred Downing.
Surviving are five daughters-Virginia Landrum and Norma Jean McClendon,both of Tompkinsville.Christine Bowman,Gainsboro,TN.,Kathleen Cook,Clermont,Fla., and Clara Nell Clark,Celina,TN.There are 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted in the John Edd Yokley Chapel of Yokley-Trible Funeral Home with Bro Michael Marx officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were six grandsons of the deceased:Ricky Bowman,Robert McClendon,Charles Landrum,Tom McClendon,Tim McClendon and Jim Cook.
