In the 1891 census, Annette worked as a servant in the Frank Wright household in Eastbourne. In the 1901 census, she was a servant for Richard Tonner in Dover. The 1911 census showed Annette, her brother, and sister living in Binstead together in Meadow Lodge. Annette's sister died in 1955, her brother in 1958. Both are buried in Binsted's Holy Cross churchyard.
